' Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' this famous song sung in the praise of 'Lord Shriram ' by Mahatma Gandhiji, was originally invented by 'Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar' (the founder of Indian Classical Music). Panditji then gave this famous hymn to Gandhiji, as a spiritual song, & instructed him to spread 'the name of the lord' among the masses, as the lord's name only has the power of liberation (liberating the country was the necessity at that time).
